Life from april to may

Lots of changes. Joe graduated. Still @ QT and doing side jobs until Fall. I survived the semester and maintained my 4.0 GPA .....props to Joe for letting me explain to him about biochem and organic chem and him managing to act interested!! :)

We're moving into a new house (RENTING IT). Lots of repairs to do.... when we do one 5 more get put on the list....... but I must say that I've got to see that Joe is a seriously sexy handyman :) And once the humongous yard is green, it's gonna be great.... and the new cabinents and counters, and lights, and laundry room........ :)

I start summer school on Monday and start to work part time only cause of it..... VERY hard and SAD. Chase start's preschool on Monday. Im gonna cry :(

Here's to the new chapter about to begin in the life of Joe and Maren and to our life being in the hands of the Lord.

Joe has no vacation days and this sem was supa stressful so Joe and my mom pushed for Nic and I go on a adventure. Probably can guess where........

Yes San Fransisco!!!!!!!!! (NOT aka gay town, fag city, hotdog roast ville etc etc etc.....)

Our trip was amazing and nothing less..... we walked until my feet had blisters and those ruptured and then bled which made it all the more amazing.... and then ventured to use the city public transportation so we could and did travel the ENTIRE CITY!!!!

Flight out: Joe drops us off at the airport and says goodbye with lots of hugs and kisses! LOVE MY JOE!!!! then got paradise bakery in the airport 'to go' and found this wing with 180 degree windows. Talked and munched for an hour and walked planes come and go @ sunset. Amazing. Then boarded the plane, proceeded to make Anchorman jokes and laugh until tears and the plane landing. Get out luggage and ride escalator to the shuttle. Nicole has an "ELF" movie moment trying to get on the escalator with our one enormous checked luggage (we took one cause it costs $15 a bag now...geeeez). Shuttle man crazy driver. Check in. Sleep.

Day One:
-Walk up enormous hill to eat breakfast in an tiny nook. Nicole had an amazing omlette and I ate an enormous apple cinnamon crepe.
-See our first gay man couple holding hands.
-Walked to Union square and by public transpo passes. Ride trolley to Ghirradeli square. Buy and (I) eat sinful chocolate.
-Walk to warf through residential neighborhood. A car was blocking the side walk while backing out of his garage so he tells us to go around him by walking through his garage. We do and see his partner doing wood work in the garage. (No pun intended)
-@ warf I insist Im starving and need to eat again :) specifically on nasty fishermans grotto shrimp and chips . Eat and feed the seagulls leftovers.
-Tour Pier 39. Visit Aquarium. shop. Eat ice cream. @Organic fruit stand buy cherries and strawberries for breakfast next day.
-Walk to cable car and ride it to where ever it goes..... ends up in union square. See some flower stands on the side walk (dream job or what?). Stop to smell them and talked about wedding bouquets. Flower stand man gives us gerber daisys!!!!
-Walk to China town. Tour around.
-Dinner time and chinese food displays look... not appealing.
-Walk toward some pretty churches and end up in Little italy. While passing a restraunt and eyeing the menu, get talked into eating dinner at a tooooo expensive restraunt with paitings on the cieling by italian native waiter. YUMMMMY food. Nicole tells me the waiter is into me and I say no, he talked to her ALOT about chef school in europe and is touching everyone while chatting it up. Dinner ends and the waiter asks me in his thick italian accent if he could take me for coffee Sunday morning before we leave. SELF ESTEEM BOOST. I tell him Im married and he's embarassed. :(
-We walk home ....mostly are lost.
-Sleep.

Day Two:
-Eat cherries and strawberries. Trolley to fishermans grotto. See really fat wiener dog. take pics and video of it trying to run. :)
-Hop on cable car we took the day before and take it to it's ending point: CASTRO.
-See and chat with the the cutest africian american fam riding the cable car!!!!
-Rainbow flags indicate we enter CASTRO district. I tell Nicole I might be too scared to get off the cable car. She says we dont have a choice.
-Cable car ends and we must exit.
-Police cars swarming public square at stop. We see 10 bare ass naked men parading around and cops telling them to put clothes on :) Nicole asks if they are naked.. i reply "YEP" and take a video with my phone. All men put on clothes they had on before. One man is dressed in a green g-string... ONLY the gstring.
-We immediatley take the next bus to Haight and Ashbury. We wander and buy more fruit @ amazing market and eat it at enormous park. See a hetrosexual couple hardcore making out on grass :)Give homeless man a pack of strawberries :)
-Ride next bus to .....? .... Nic sits by funny really old hippie man. Start chatting with locals and see amazing building and immediately ask "What's that?" she says "Exploratorium" and I pull the exit cord. We get off lost and wander street toward the building.
Exploratorium looks like ancient rome building. We wander and take pics. We see a man feeding some wild swans. Freakin awesome.
-Walk to a park with Golden gate bridge view and get inspired to take pics in setting sun.

-Another couple making out :) homeless man strips to change clothes. We leave and sit by ocean and then walk along the coast line and stare at freakin costly houses. Cool. We walk past our bus stop for forever and finally notice. Take bus to little italy. Wait over and house to eat a different restraunt. YUMMMMMM.
-ride bus to union square. read magazines in barnes and nizzle until midnight. hotel and sleep.

Day 3:
-Catch cab in a frenzy to Pier 33 for alcatraz tour (we're late). buy doughnuts and bandaids on way.
-Go to alcatraz.
-Take hanicap car to the top cause blisters are bleeding. get dirty looks.
-Tour and listen. Learn.
-Hop on ferry to go back.
-Catch another cap in a frenzy to hotel and then to airport. Pay way tooooooo much.
-Fly home and Cameron picks us up.
-OK had to document for memory sake. There was more but I gotta get off of here.

Let it be known that blogger is super annoying when you try to add pictures to your post at the end of typing and etc. Hence the dumb gaps and sizing etc. Sorry!
